Kick starting our September celebration of Listener’s Space – Unplugged on 9 September at Obz Café Theatre we will be featuring poetry, emceeing and wonderful marimba sounds.
Warming the stage will be poet Rodriguez who has been sharing his work at various open mics in Cape Town.
The second act needs no introduction. Mr Demus has been involved in various musical projects on the Cape Town music scene. In 2005 he enjoyed acclaim on Cape Town base Radio stasions with his song recorded with HIPY called “Someday”. He was a member of HIGH VOLTAGE stable and he’s appeared on numerous artist’s albums like READY D, Rogue State Alliance and more. His vocals can be heard on the single “Hold On” with Claire Phillips that features on DJ Azuhl & Grenville Williams’ album, African Shockwave.
